Step-by-step deployment SafeToOpen Add-in for Microsoft Outlook in Your Organization.

Our add-in works on all Microsoft Outlook email clients such as Web client, iOS, Android, Mac OS X, Linux, and all versions of Microsoft Outlook desktop. 


  • Admin access to your Microsoft Office 365.
  • SafeToOpen Portal to view the detected phishing links (optional)

Step 1:

In a browser navigate to, and log in with and account that has administrator privilege. Then click on Admin.

Step 2:

On the left-hand side of the page, click on Show All, and under Admin centers choose Exchange.

Step 3:

Click on add-ins.

Step 4:

If you have seen the below screenshot, please click on Services and Add-ins. If not, please go to the next step.

Step 5:

Click on Deploy Add-in and a popup will appear. Click Next.

Step 6:

Click on Choose from the Store.

Step 7:

In the search area, type 'safetoopen', hit enter, and then click on Add. When a new popup has appeared click Continue.

Step 8:

On this page, you can assign users and choose a deployment method. Once you have chosen your suitable configurations, click on the Deploy button. Please note that the deployment of Microsoft Outlook Add-ins may take up to 10 hours.

Now that you have successfully deployed the SafeToOpen Add-in for Microsoft Outlook, you can choose and email on and Outlook client and click/tap on SafeToOpen to verify it.

If you have SafeToOpen Portal installed in your cloud environment, you can see malicious links detected by SafeToOpen add-in in your organization and take appropriate action.
